A causa da morte, informada nesta quinta-feira (7), n\u00e3o foi divulgada at\u00e9 o momento. <br \/><br \/>O popular apresentador, conhecido como Varela, teve uma carreira grande tanto na r\u00e1dio quanto na televis\u00e3o. Ele nasceu em Itabuna, no sul do estado, mas se mudou para a capital ainda crian\u00e7a.<br \/><br \/>Ele teve v\u00e1rios trabalhos antes de entrar na comunica\u00e7\u00e3o. Trabalhou em uma f\u00e1brica de cimento no CIA, dirigiu um clube social na Cidade Baixa e foi taxista. Foram mais de 40 anos envolvido com a comunica\u00e7\u00e3o, com passagens pelo r\u00e1dio e televis\u00e3o, na Band e Record TV Itapoan, onde estava atualmente. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Criador do programa &#8220;Balan\u00e7o Geral&#8221;, ele popularizou um estilo de apresenta\u00e7\u00e3o e ficou famoso por bater na mesa e apresentar sua opini\u00e3o dando um cart\u00e3o vermelho ou cart\u00e3o verde para situa\u00e7\u00f5es e epis\u00f3dios.<br \/><br \/>Em 2006, problemas renais e de diabetes fizeram o apresentador ser internado no Hospital Alian\u00e7a em Salvador, \u00e0s pressas. Depois, foi transferido para o Hospital Osvaldo Cruz, em S\u00e3o Paulo. Tr\u00eas meses depois, foi submetido a um transplante de f\u00edgado e rim.<br \/><br \/>O comunicador completaria 76 anos em 30 de novembro.<br \/><br \/>O deputado Leo Prates lamentou a morte nas redes sociais. &#8220;Um comunicador nato e um dos principais nomes da TV e r\u00e1dio da Bahia. Sua hist\u00f3ria de mais de 40 anos na comunica\u00e7\u00e3o deixa um legado inestim\u00e1vel.
